I want to take this moment to introduce myself and explain the ideas and thoughts behind this new Parenting and Lifestyle blog.
I’m Alicia, I’m 23 years old and have a two year old son. I live with my family in Lancashire and work a full time job within Admin. Like many young mothers I have been victim to my own paranoia, constantly thinking I’m doing it all wrong. In an attempt to reassure myself I began to read parenting blogs and join parenting groups on Facebook. I found that the majority of parenting groups are crawling with cliques and negativity. I don’t know about you but negative comments and judgement doesn't exactly make me feel like mother of the year! After telling myself how silly I was and being I realised that there is no right or wrong way to be a parent. My son is happy, healthy, intelligent and absolutely hilarious! Most of all; he is loved.
This blog has been created to be a parenting forum, a guide full of tips and tricks that will help those of us with hectic lives manage their time and give us even more time with our little dinosaurs! This is a clique free, judgement free, open and honest forum!
I will fill this blog with pep talks for parents who struggle to get their daily chore list completed. I promise to fill this little space full of tips, tricks, reviews and recipes that will help you complete your tasks and give more time to either become a prune in the bath or enjoy a home cooked meal with your better half! Sometimes we just need motivation and a reminder that we do have the energy stored somewhere to get that daily task list ticked off!
I will be writing reviews on a weekly basis. I will review anything from cleaning products to quick simple recipes and beauty products! After all us mothers can’t have enough under-eye cream to conceal those long sleepless nights.
I create recipes and quick tea time treats which I will post to help you through the working week. I believe delicious, notorious food doesn’t need to take hours to prepare; as long as you have a slow cooker and good quality fruit and veg you will be able to create tasty dishes for after your long day at work. I do warn in advance; don’t expect me to be Nigella Lawson! Like many young mothers I’m still learning and panicking that I will one day burn the house down whilst make a Sunday roast!

Fathers don’t worry! I will post grooming product reviews for men too! My partner is a very well groomed man. If you’re into throwing your shaver away and growing a pirate worthy beard then you will be in for a treat! Watch this space for tips and tricks on becoming dapper whilst changing nappies.

If you have any tips or tricks you would like to share please post them in the comment box to your right. Your little bits of advice will be posted weekly and shared far and wide for extra help to support us parents. Babies don’t come with a guide when they are born and there is no manual on how to be the perfect parent; but we can at least try to write our own!
Keep your eyes peeled this weekend for my first big post.
